A few miscellaneous changes:
Imakefile - add ready to use variable for debug compilation
twm.c - remove signal handler on fatal signals. It just obfuscates the cause
    of crashes for no reason.

Note there were two errors which I don't feel like I resolved properly.
Specifically look for XXXSJR where it looked like the intent of the
code was to raise the icon, but the prototype was wrong to allow that

Eliminate local version of standard C library function strdup(), which
appears to exist solely to pass strlen() a pointer to an unsigned char.
This was done probably because while standard C library string functions
work with signed chars by default, the X11 XTextProperty structure uses
unsigned chars for its value member.  One of these was a bad idea, but it's
better to work around this through proper casting, or a local strdup() that
announced its intentions to the reader with an appropriate name, like
my_strdup() or vtwm_strdup().  The former seems like the preferable course
given that its not very intrusive to do.
* Remove re-#define of strdup symbol.
* Remove local implementation of strdup().
* Remove useless casts of the return value of strdup().
* Add casts of the argument to strdup() when manipulating XTextProperty
  value fields.

This fixes compiler warnings with GCC 4.0.3 and GNU libc 2.3.5 on
powerpc-linux-gnu.

Fix compiler warnings from GCC 4.0.3 on powerpc-linux-gnu in
EndResizeAdjPointer().
* Stop overloading junk variables with conflicting types.
* Declare locally-scoped junk variables with more useful names, so it is
  more clear what's going on, and stop using existing global junk
  variables.
* Don't use a junk variable name when it's not really junk, but actually
  used in subsequent function calls (declare new variables pointer_x and
  pointer_y).
* Add explanatory comments.
